Any place that lets you sample their product is great in my book! I can’t remember all the flavors we tried but I do remember loving just about all of them. My bf ended up purchasing 2 of the medium sized bottles for his Mom as a gift.”

“A great high quality shop that satisfied my post-dinner walk and browsing time. I am avoiding sugar on my current diet so this place was a nice sanctuary away from all the ice cream, candy, and cinnamon roll shops.
Every olive oil I tried was fresh and bright and beautifully infused. The helpers were genuine and effusive. I bought their medium intensity piqual for my salads or avocado in a big bottle (good for 7-9 months), petite bottle of the rose infused oil to use on my dry skin or perhaps drizzled over coconut cream as a sugar free post dinner treat, and white truffle oil for a big splash on homemade grilled cheese or fries.
I don’t know but the ideas really were brewing in my mind in this cute store.

“A must for any olive oil and balsamic enthusiast! They provide little plastic cups, toothpicks, and little pieces of bread for you to try out an incredible number of options. I went in thinking I was going to try a ton of samples and just buy a bottle of whatever was my favorite but my tastebuds had other plans and came out spending over $100 lol. My very favorite was the dark chocolate balsamic, aaaaaamazing!! Besides the oils and balsamics they sell a ton of other cute things. Will definitely visit again when I’m back in town!”

“Saw this wonderful place walking threw Cannery Row and it is a MUST if you love olive oil. They have an extraordinarily large selection of flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars all to be tasted with delicious sourdough bread samples. Any of the fruit ones are spot on. I picked up a lemon one (along the wall) that is so flavorful , it would be used to dress up pasta alone. Or to eat with bread. The lemon one by the register had a much lighter taste and almost had a rindy aftertaste. Also, a pomegranate-pear was choses as it would be delicious on salad alone. They may have been in the balsamic shelves along the wall. Pricing is by the different size bottles they offer. Petite is $6.95 while the nxt size is $13 ish. I suggest the ones you don’t plan on using too much for the petite size to avoid it getting rancid, or for gifts.”

“We came here during our two days in Monterey & the staff here is very friendly & helpful. We were looking over chicken seasoning & balsamic vinegars & olive oils. I love how they let you have samples & make any recommendations. We ended up buying some of the formentioned products including strawberry & a rasin flavored one which we can hardly wait to use. So, for a wonderful selection in a quaint atmosphere with friendly service at reasonable prices, Monterey’s Best cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.”
